Hanoi City Tour- Day Trip

    • Am: Be picked up at your hotel from 8h00 then drive to following sites:
      - Tran Quoc Pagoda (means “Stabilizing the Nation”), the oldest pagoda constructed in the sixth century during the reign of Emperor Ly Nam De.
      - Ho Chi Minh Complex, where the body lies in a glass case with dim lights in the mausoleum, simple open wooden house on stilts surrounded by gardens with towering trees and a small lake, presidential palace built between 1900 and 1906 to house the French Governor-General of Indochina. 
      - One Pillar pagoda – a wooden pagoda on a single stone pillar, and it is designed to resemble a lotus blossom, which is a Buddhist symbol of purity, since a lotus blossoms in a muddy pond.
      - Temple of Literature (Van Mieu), which originally built as a Confucius Temple, then became Vietnam’s first university dating back to 1070. The temple highlights the importance influence that Vietnamese society has placed on education.
    • Pm: Lunch at a traditional Vietnamese restaurant, then continue to visit the following sites:
      - Visit Ethnology Musuem which focuses on the 54 officially recognized ethnic groups in Vietnam. It is widely considered to be the finest modern museum in Vietnam.
      - Ngoc Son temple – Drop off hotel. Tour ends around 5PM.

    Notes: 
    - The Ho Chi Minh mausoleum (where the body is kept) is closed on Monday and Friday, in September and October for preservation. 
    - Rules regarding dress and behavior are strictly enforced by guards, legs must be covered (no shorts or miniskirts), long shirt/blouse (cover shoulders). Visitors must be silent, and walk in two lines. Hands must not be in pockets, nor arms crossed. Smoking, photography, and videotaping are also not permitted anywhere inside the mausoleum.
    - On every Monday, Ethnology museum is closed, so it will be replaced by Bat Trang Ceramic Village

Hoa Lu – Trang An Ninh Binh - Day trip

Ninh Binh is a nice province located 90km far from Hanoi and well-known of many beautiful sites. Hoa Lu and Trang An are two places that almost tourists don’t miss to visit. Hoa Lu is Vietnam’s ancient capital which has two temples, one of them dedicated to Emperor Dinh and the other in memory of Emperor Le. And Trang An which is considered as a Halong bay on land was recently recorgnized as World Heritage in 2013. A small bamboo boat on the calm river through the caves brings you a great feeling.

    • Am: 7.45 Guide and driver pick up you at your hotel in Hanoi, then depart to Ninh Binh province.
      10.30 Arrive Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, visit 2 temples have been built on the ground of the old royal palace in 10th century. The visit offers a chance to know more about part of feudal dynasties and historical periods in Vietnamese history.
      11.15 Start biking to Trang An from Hoa Lu, visit Chi Phong Villages & Kim Ngan ancent pagoda. It takes about 30 – 40 minutes. Time for tourist to relax, enjoy the peace of Vietnamese countriside villages.
      The tourists who do not use biking service move to Trang An by a mini-van.
      12.00 Time for lunch at a local restaurant
    • Pm: 14.00 Take the amazing boat trip to visit Trang An grottoes which is a gathering of 31 valleys, 50 cross-water caves, and home to 600 kinds of flora and over 200 kinds of fauna, many of them in the Red Book of Vietnam. While rowing through Trang An grotto in the quiet, fresh air of the highlands, with only the sound of birds and the oars stirring the clear water and surrounded by magnificent forested mountains upon which graze white goats, visitors enjoy a heaven on earth. The end of the day, drive back to Hanoi.

    17.00 Leave Trang An and drive back to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi at 18.30. Trip ends
