South Pacific Travel respects your privacy and we will do our utmost to ensure the information you supply is kept private and secure. This document outlines the types of personal information we receive and collect when you use our services, as well as some of the steps we take to safeguard information. We hope this will help you make an informed decision about sharing personal information with us.

How is your personal information used?

The information you give helps us provide you with personalised service. When you supply information about yourself for specific purposes, we use the information for that purpose only (i.e. to provide the service or information you have requested). If making a booking with us, additional information will be required for operational reasons.

We do not share, sell or rent information to any third parties. If you receive information from South Pacific Travel, it is because you have asked to hear from us, you have entered a competition and agreed to join our mailing list, or a friend/colleague has requested it on your behalf.

After your tour, we will contact you to ask for your for opinions and comments about your experience of travelling with South Pacific Travel. Apart from seeking information to improve the quality of our services, we will ask your permission to quote a sentence or two on our web site in a way that ensures your anonymity. The decision to assist us in this way is entirely yours – our request does not place you under any obligation.

We will also ask if you would be willing to respond to telephone, e-mail or mail requests from potential customers seeking confirmation of our probity. The text on the page offering this service will include a disclaimer of any liability on your part. As above, this request does not place you under any obligation – feel free to say “No”.

Fair prices with no hidden extras
We apply a standard margin to all our tours. The amount we add is calculated to cover our costs and generate a modest profit, and never exceeds 20%. This applies to the agreed itinerary only - if you require help with, for example, a dinner reservation or arranging a ticket for an event at the Opera House, we will not add anything extra to the price quoted by the restaurant or box office.

If you ask us to make hotel or flight bookings only, the prices we quote will always be competitive and fully inclusive of all taxes and service - no hidden 'extras'. If you want to visit workshops or commercial outlets, there will be no obligation or pressure for you to buy anything - we do not make deals to receive commission.

Protection from South Pacific Travel

South Pacific Travel is fully licensed by the Vietnam National Authority for tourism (VNAT) as an international tour operator. 0237/2003/TCDL – GP LHQT in 2003.

The terms of our license require us to place a substantial cash bond in a secure account. The account has two signatories South Pacific Travel and VNAT. The money in the account is solely for compensating clients. If we get it wrong or third party contracted to us, fails to deliver a part of the agreed contract or in case the matter is reasonable we committee to reimburse you. Failures that were the result of circumstances beyond our control, such as cancellation or postponement resulting from government action or policy, war, civil unrest or natural disasters, are excluded.
