Cau pagoda, so-called Japanese Bridge, is the only ancient bridge left in Hoi An ancient town. The bridge was built in 1593. It has been restored twice in the 18th and 19th century.

Cau pagoda is about 18 m long over a creek flowing to Thu Bon River. It has such a distinctive architecture. The upper part is a house and the lower part is a bridge.
